Fangchenggang Wenchang Bridge

Fangchenggang Wenchang Bridge

The main bridge of the Fangchenggang Wenchang Bridge is a double-cable-plane prestressed concrete cable-stayed bridge with a golden camellia-shaped pylon, featuring a main span of 200 meters. The bridge starts approximately 460 meters east of the Fangcheng-Jiangshan First-Class Highway, crossing the Fangcheng River and surrounding planned roads to form an east-west arterial network. As the "Third Fangcheng River Bridge" in Fangcheng Port City's bridge planning system, the bridge is equipped with six lanes for motor vehicles (three in each direction) and two lanes for non-motorized vehicles. The steel trestle construction for the main bridge piers was completed in January 2019, and the project entered its final construction stage in June 2021. According to traffic management regulations, large trucks are prohibited from passing from 6:00 to 23:00 daily, while special vehicles require permits to travel along designated routes during specified times. The specialized inspection technical services for the main span are undertaken by Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Construction Engineering Quality Testing Center Co., Ltd., with the inspection contract signed in March 2019.
